There are an estimated 1 to 2 million sports related concussions every year in the United States in children and adolescents. Traditionally, post-concussion recommendations have included strict rest. In this video I review how and why reintroducing physical activity within the first week is very important to recovery.

I’m Dr Edmond Cleeman, an orthopedic surgeon in New York City, specializing in sports medicine and arthroscopic surgery.
