Is there a chance to improve walking after 3 years post stroke without improvements for a 70 yr old.
Have you seen similar cases ? I am trying to motivate my father who is impacted by the stroke on right hand and leg
Sit to stands are great for this. Squats, walking on knees, and walking up and down the stairs are also helpful tools. All of these have helped me walk better. My trainer makes me do sit stands and stair climbs. Riding the exercise bike and walking on the treadmill helps also. I'm 2 months into personal training and my treadmill walking and bike riding has improved a lot. I still have trouble with my foot sliding, due to spasticity but I'm working on it. I'm 2 years post. I had a major hemorrhagic stroke (Due to an AVM rupture) on Sept 25th, 2022. It's a long and frustrating road, but keep going, don't give up. I never thought a year ago that I would be lifting weights, walking on a treadmill and riding an exercise bike. I still have a long way to go but now I believe I can get even better with hard work.
Could you do one to help strengthen the weaker knee?
My knee keeps hyperextending when I straighten it a little it is like there is a ball bearing in there and it wants to bend backwards.

I'm waiting for my girl to come over and bring my TV so I can watch these videos to exercise. Hard to watch on a cell. Had a stroke 6 months ago and having a hard time getting walking more I have a knee that wants to go back and I have a AFO boot.plus my arm n shoulder is always stiff. Had the stroke on my left side. Once I left the hospital I had no access to a therapist anymore.
