Sakurada says:

My goal is 630. That seems to work better for me than 7 or 8, which seems to cause groggyness theough the day. Hopefully, this will release me from my home time zone, which is the opposite.

lilacpeachychu says:

I want to cry can someone help me. I started my job 2 days ago and I start at 7:55 am everyday except weekends. I usually went to bed at 5 am or 6 am when I wasn’t working and woke up at 2 pm. It’s really hard to fix and I’m exhausted, my head hurts and heart races when I try to sleep earlier. I tried going to bed at 9 am today after sleeping less than 3 hours 2 days in a row but only slept an hour and now im having trouble falling back to sleep. I also have trouble staying off my phone πŸ™ perhaps going to bed an hour earlier each day can help? I just really hope I fix it, can fall asleep and don’t pass out on the job πŸ™

Mojyo Queen says:

It doesn't help much when you go to sleep between 5-8 am. How am I going to wake up if I didn't fall asleep in the first place?? Should I stay awake for more than 24h and then do the 5 days chelenge?

SandraD says:

The 8-hours-a-night idea came about from actual research that showed most people needed 8 hours. It was a mean number. Research also showed that 8 hours is the magic number for most people’s bodies to go through the necessary regeneration of all the different systems. When someone sleeps 8 hours, they’re usually sleeping 7 1/2 with fall-asleep time. But everyone is different. You happen to be a lucky

Shreya Nag says:

Well, till a month ago also, I would sleep for 8 hours at night but then now I sleep for 4-5 hours, I go to bed at 1 but then can't fall asleep till 4-5 am and wake up at 9

Dr Blitz says:

Step 1 -don’t jump from waking up at 11am to 7am. Do it in Increnents of 30 minutes.
Step 2-Only sleep if you are tired but still wake up at your designated wake up time
Step 3- get your body into sunlight upon waking
Step 4- no caffeine or stimulants
…. I suggest starting this on a long weekend with 3 days off in a row. The first 3 days are miserable. Took an entire week for me to wake up at 7 comfortably. I did it the hard way and slept in on the 3rd day. Remember… 30 minute increments. Otherwise good luck

Varuni says:

Ok so ya hi , i have been going to sleep around 4am or 5am and then waking up at around 1 pm or 2pm … and then whole day i have been procastinating on study and in night i cant even focus properly…. this has been going on from more than 15days .. and is affecting my grades really badly … so i have decided not to go to sleep for 1 night and 1 day … and will sleep at 10 pm to wake up at 4 am or 3 am day after tommorow ..
Right now it 1 pm (i just wake up and writting this comment as commitment.)

Wish me luck 😊

Johannes Gullberg says:

Well it also about genetics, arnold was able to pack on muscle with little sleep because of them. 90% of other people probably need more

Ataready says:

The issue I face with fixing my sleep schedule is that I don't have much going on throughout my day but I always look forward to the evenings the most, because that's when friends are online playing video games. So I'm tempted to stay up to 10pm-12am and by that point with all the artificial light on and adrenaline it gets too easy to stay up to 2am and even later. I know the solution to this is to stop playing video games in the evening but I really need to find activities that satisfy my social needs during the day which is hard. All my friends live far away from me so it's inconvenient even if we have a time planned and the same thing can be said with the people I know at school.

I don't really lament on it too much but it would be nice if all my friends lived close, or my school had people come from close areas. It's also frustrating having things going on in my local area be pretty much completely separate from the people I know from school.

That said, I have a solution, which is 1) spending time in or near school outside of classes (with or without somebody else) and 2) finding a university with a good community/area to live in once I graduate. Mostly because I want to live in university accommodations and have an experience I can compare so I'm able to decide where I want to be. The area where I've grown up is definitely on the older side resident wise and so boring to live in, being able to live in a city and have places I feel comfortable in within walking distance would be great.

Jay Lewis says:

Studies show less than seven leaves a small deficit that isn’t healthy. Aiming for eight makes getting the minimum easier

Verethranga says:

My huge issue is that I want to sleep earlier but simply can’t. If I went to sleep at 1 am I wake up at 3 am and my body treats that sleep as a nap. I can no longer go back to sleep after this and it in fact pushes when I feel sleep even later making it worse. How can I sleep earlier? I want to wake up in the am. I want to wake up before 10.

MrTskull99 says:

Arnold is not a good example. He was on steroid which basically recovers the muscles with minimal sleep…soo do not compare yourself to him.
