http://www.einstein.yu.edu – November 29, 2011 — Using advanced imaging techniques and cognitive tests, researchers at Albert Einstein College of Medicine of Yeshiva University and Montefiore Medical Center, the University Hospital for Einstein, have shown that repeatedly heading a soccer ball increases the risk for brain injury and cognitive impairment. Fantastic video. This needs to be seen.
I play soccer and I got 2 concussions 4 months apart from each other from heading the ball. I’m fine… I think. But concussion suck do not recommend.
Heading the ball is stupid & unnecessary. Just make the goals wider, like 30 feet. This would also eliminate the need for soccer's embarrassing theatrics to yield a penalty kick when the scores are zero – zero near the end of play. It would also make the game better for spectators as much more goals would be scored & from much further away; less congestion in front of the goals, more epic long range kicks. I don't know why doctors don't just openly say "ban heading". Sports codes weren't written by God. It's just a game.
Who else is here cuz of John?
This is sooo important for humanity to take seriously!
This is such a fire and serious problem that I´m amazed that no one has even commented on this before, this and other similar vidoes need to be divulged as much as possible! Also, the serious consequences of such head traumas by blows on the head have also caused not only serious degenerative diseases but also fatalisties on the victims and this has been going on worldwide quite so often!!! I´m sharing this on my two edublogs as well as on Facebook. Thank you SO MUCH for it!
