Our Senior Occupational Therapist Sinead Stack explains how our new Step Ahead service in Cork is vital to help more young brain injury survivors in Munster return to work, training or education. This unique initiative provides individual vocational assessments and practical support for young people aged 18-29 years with an acquired brain injury. Brain injuries can happen at any age and at any time. They can happen from a simple fall or from causes like stroke, road traffic accident and brain tumours. When it happens it turns lives upside down and for many young people, it dramatically halts their pursuit of life goals and dreams. Step Ahead Cork is a vital new service dedicated to help young brain injury survivors across Munster get their lives back on track as practically and as quickly as possible.
